DWI / DUI

What can a DUI/DWI arrest and conviction cost you?
You could lose your driver’s license. You can be hit with heavy fines. There are court costs and administrative fees that you could have to pay. You can be put on probation. In some cases, you can be put in jail or even prison. Your car can be taken away. This is what will likely happen to you if you are arrested for DUI or DWI and you stand alone. You will face strict laws, tough prosecutors and a court that does not want to hear your excuses before you receive your harsh punishment.

In addition to being put in jail and having the DMV take your license you will have a criminal record. DUI and DWI are crimes, and a conviction will give you a permanent “criminal” record. You could lose your job, your security clearance, have your future employment limited. A drunk driving conviction could make your insurance rates cost more than your car and some insurance companies will cancel your coverage. You could be stopped from traveling and you may have to perform community service and sit through substance abuse counseling and treatment.
